Why did Cain Killed Abel and why couldn’t he take his place?

According to the biblical story, Cain killed Abel out of jealousy and anger because God favored Abel’s offering over his own. After committing the murder, God punished Cain by making him a wanderer, and he was marked so that others would not harm him.

Cain couldn’t take Abel’s place because he had committed a grave sin by killing his brother. This act of violence and disobedience severed his relationship with God and disrupted the natural order. Taking Abel’s place would not have been a just resolution for his actions.
