Written by The Benue State Governor, His Excellency, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia has guaranteed Benue civil servants of their full entitlement, 120 days maximum after retirement from the civil service.
Governor Alia gave this assurance on Wednesday during a meeting with the heads of ministries, departments and agencies in Makurdi.

While stressing the need for transparency, accountability, confidentiality and teamwork in the discharge of duties, the man of God urged heads of the various parastatals to ensure discipline, diligence and hard work in their various points of assignment, adding that his administration shall not wine and dine with truancy and laxity.
“We need to revive, revamp and reform the civil service, and we have to change the narratives. We must recalibrate to avoid embarrassing scenes and situations. This administration will not tolerate laziness and truancy.
“Let us bring back the aura, respect and value into the civil service,” he advised
